For the month of January our Wordless Wednesday pictures will be from our 2003 vacation where we rented a river cruiser and spent the week on the River Shannon. Last week's post included a picture of Clonmacnoise viewed from the river at sunrise. By the time Clonmacnoise opened for tourists, the mists had burned off and it had turned into a beautiful, sunny day. This picture is of the same monks' tower and celtic cross grave stones, but taken from inside Clonmacnoise while facing the river. The exact opposite view from the the picture posted last week.
People often ask us is the grass in Ireland really as green as everyone says it is. This picture should answer that question.
We are on our the one month countdown until our next trip to the Emerald Isle and can barely contain our excitement.
Slainte Y'all!
